# HOW TO EARN $ARCA

To begin your LOA journey, we highly recommend starting with the free heroes provided at the beginning of the game. There are numerous gameplay options to choose from, but [***Adventure***](/legend-of-arcadia/gameplay/pve/adventure.md) is the easiest way to get started. While experiencing the fascinating storyline, you'll gain vast amounts of Energy and Experience (EXP). Energy is used as fuel for White Ore [***Mining***](/legend-of-arcadia/gameplay/pve/mining.md), while EXP is used to level up your NFT Hero [***Stands***](/legend-of-arcadia/gameplay/stands.md), which are slots where heroes can be placed.

To further enhance your NFT heroes' additional attributes, you may also need to consume other heroes as materials. The more powerful a Hero NFT you upgrade, the more value it can be sold for on our NFT marketplace.

But that's not all. If you're looking for a true test of your skills, head over to [***Arena***](/legend-of-arcadia/gameplay/pvp/fervor-arena.md), where you can showcase the power of your heroes and compete against other players for Obsidian, a valuable resource that can be used to forge $ARCA with White Ore.

By acquiring [***White Ore***](/legend-of-arcadia/how-to-earn-usdarca/white-ore.md) and [***Obsidian***](/legend-of-arcadia/how-to-earn-usdarca/obsidian.md) from the PvE and PvP game modes, respectively, you can forge our precious [***$ARCA***](/legend-of-arcadia/tokenomics/usdarca.md) governance tokens.

Another way to earn is by actively participating in LOA governance. You can vote to contribute to the community and earn [***$vipARCA***](/legend-of-arcadia/tokenomics/usdviparca-model.md), which is a vote-escrowed version of $ARCA. You can think of it as the right to vote. It also serves as a yield boost to accelerate $ARCA rewards generated from the liquidity pool.
